Based in Almont, Michigan · Working with local businesses everywhere

Your best customers can't find you on the map.

Someone hears you do great work. They search your name, find no website and an out-of-date Google listing, and call the next shop instead. I fix that for a flat monthly fee, and you never have to touch a computer.

The problem

Being good isn't the same as being findable

27%of US small businesses still have no website
30–65%of trades like repair, HVAC and plumbing have none at all
~halfof referred customers hesitate and check a competitor when they find nothing online

You already earned the referral. A website and a correct Google listing are what keep it from leaking to the shop down the road.

Running everything off Facebook?

Keep the page. Add the part Google can find.

Lots of great local businesses run on a Facebook page alone. It works for the people who already follow you. The trouble is everyone else: when someone searches your trade and your town, Google shows websites and Maps listings, not Facebook posts. Some people won't log in to see your page at all.

Facebook only

  • Hard to find in a Google search
  • Some visitors hit a "log in to see more" wall
  • Hours and services buried under old posts
  • You don't control it if Facebook changes the rules

Facebook + Found On The Map

  • A real website on your own address that shows up in search
  • Google listing with correct hours, services and photos
  • Your Facebook page linked from both, so followers keep following
  • Built from what you already post, so there's nothing new for you to write

Send me your Facebook page and I'll turn it into a free preview site. You don't need to fill anything else out.

Where I work

Rooted in Michigan. Open to anywhere.

Found On The Map is a small local business based in Almont, and because everything happens by email, your town doesn't matter. I work with independent businesses across Michigan and anywhere in the U.S. I build every site around the towns and neighborhoods your customers search from, so a shop in Ohio or Texas gets the same local focus as one down the road.

Questions

What business owners ask

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Found On The Map works entirely by email, on purpose. It keeps the price where it is, and you can answer at 9pm instead of stopping a job.

What do you need from me?

Your services, hours, and photos if you have them. If not, I'll work from what's already public on your Google listing and you tell me what to fix.

I already have a Facebook page. Why do I need a site?

Keep your Facebook page. It's great for regulars. But Google search and Maps mostly show websites and business listings, and a lot of people won't log in to Facebook to check you out. I build the site from what you already post and link the two together, so you don't do any extra work.

Who owns the site?

You do. Your content, your photos and your web address are yours. If you leave, I'll send you a copy of everything.

Can you promise I'll rank first on Google?

No, and anyone who promises that is guessing. I make sure your listing is complete and accurate and that you have a real website, which is what Google and customers both look for.

How is my information handled?

I only use what you send me and what's already public about your business. I never sell it. Payments go through Stripe, so I never see your card. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Do you work with businesses outside Michigan?

Yes. I'm based in Almont, but everything is done by email, so I work with local businesses anywhere in the U.S. Your site and Google listing are built around your own town and service area.

What kinds of businesses don't you take?

Medical, legal and financial advice practices, which have extra advertising rules, plus anything illegal, adult, or built to mislead people. The full list is in the terms.

How do I cancel?

Reply "cancel" to any email. Billing stops at the end of your current month, and you keep a copy of your site.

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 22, 2026

Found On The Map ("I", "me") builds websites and manages Google Business Profiles for local businesses. This policy explains what information I handle and what I do with it.

What I collect

How I use it

What I never do

Email

Every email I send includes my mailing address and a way to opt out. Reply "STOP" and I will not email you again. I honor opt-outs immediately.

Automation

I use software, including AI tools, to help find businesses, draft emails and build site previews. A person reviews outgoing emails, and these tools only work with the information described above.

Keeping and deleting information

I keep client records while you're a client and as long as tax and business law requires afterward. Prospect records for businesses that never became clients are deleted within 12 months of last contact. Email me to ask what I hold about you or to have it deleted, and I will respond within 30 days.

Security

Accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and access is limited to what's needed to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and I'll notify affected clients promptly if a breach affects their information.

Children

My services are for businesses. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, I'll update the date above and email clients about significant changes. Questions: vincent@foundonthemap.com · PO Box 17, Almont, MI 48003.

Ownership

Your responsibilities

What I won't build

I may decline or remove content that is illegal, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, infringes someone else's trademark or copyright, impersonates another business, includes fake or paid reviews, or makes medical, legal or financial claims. I don't take on businesses in those fields or any business whose main purpose is misleading people.

No guarantees on results

I'll do the work carefully and honestly, but I can't guarantee search rankings, call volume or sales, which depend on Google and on factors outside my control.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid me in the three months before it arose, and I'm not liable for lost profits or indirect damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes, disputes and contact

I'll email clients at least 30 days before any change to these terms or to your price. These terms are governed by Michigan law. Questions: vincent@foundonthemap.com · PO Box 17, Almont, MI 48003.
